Sally didn't seem to immediately notice the question. In fact, she may have missed it all together; her focus had settled over the edge of her cot, peering distantly at the small, beige computer. After a minute or so, her arm drifted down to recover it, but within seconds it'd slipped from her hand a second time. Whimpering softly, the squirrelmunk's head found its way back to her pillow. " My head is killing me..." It remained unclear whether she was answering the doctor or just happened to reply out of coincidence.

"Just lay back and relax Sally. You don't have as hard a head as you keep sayin I have," he told her with a smile, as he bent down to pick up Nicole himself. "I'll be right back, somone needs a talking to..." Giving her hand a small squeeze, he got up and slipped out of the room. As soon as he was outside, he unfolded the small computer. "NICOLE...what the heck is this about you messing up the mission!? Bad enough Sal got hurt, but you didn't let em finish?"

"..." The computer let out a series of clicks rather than answer right away. "I did as Sally instructed, Sonic."

"Oh really?" Sonic asked dryly, "So SALLY instructed you to botch the mission then?"

"Secondary-? Nicole they're Freedom fighters!" Sonic said, now failing, and as a result, shaking Nicole, in fustration. "They're freedom fighters! You never get pissy about any of us, so why them...and why in the middle of a mission!? Sally's gonna feel bad enough without learning that you screwed up the mission cause you were bein' stupid about protocols or whatever!"

"Try it and you're getting a bath," Sonic warned, wagging a finger at her...screen. "Now, in english, what'd we do to make sure what happened during the mission doesn't happen again?"

Nicole paused as she considered how to simplify (read: dumb-down) her wording. "Sally would need to tell me who is and is not allowed to work with me."

"...Fine" Sonic conceded, though still sounded unpleased, "We'll just have to have Sal do that...when she's feeling better." He then snapped Nicole shut and headed back inside.

@cyril@ ... to come back in on the doctor taking care of that cut of Sally's.
"You've probably heard this before, but this is going to sting a bit," the doctor warned, preparing to dab at the wound with a bit of fluffed material soaked in something or another bearing a remarkably strong medicinal scent.

" We really already went?" Sally mumbled, likely more to herself than to anyone else. Finding the doctor hovering over her, the squirrelmunk recognized that pain was coming, but didn't actually expect much, since she was in so much to begin with. She was in for a surprise. " AoowwaauuUUUU OOOOOOOWWW!!"

Sonic winced a little at that, but didn't immediately move to the Princess's side, so he could let the doctor work. He'd undergone similar treatments through the years under Rosie's care. "Yeah, you already went, Sally," Sonic affirmed before looking to Cyril. "So...she IS gonna be ok, right doc?"

@cyril@ Having completed medicating the wound, Dr. Forrester glanced to Sonic.
"Well, memory loss is typical with concussions, but it only seems event related... the memory might come back or it may not, but other than that, all she should have to worry about is maybe a nasty headache."
Turning his attention back to the princess, he smiled slightly.
"Which, speaking of, I'll get you something for. I also suggest that you don't take any blows to the head until this is completely recovered, hmm?"

"Thank you, doctor," Sally groaned, and actually kind of slurred. Her hands massaged at her forehead again; the pain was still fairly intense. Hopefully whatever medication he'd prescribe for it would be powerful stuff. Most of her coherent thoughts lingered on the supposed mission everyone kept referencing. The longer the idea set in, the more it felt real, but in a dream-like way. In fact, she even had a few fleeting, fuzzy images... but were they real? Maybe her mind was making them up.

Sue finally started feeling a bit better after downing her third glass of juice. "Mmmm, that hits th' spot," the tapir said, feeling more peppier than ever. "Well, if anything good came about that mission, we won't have to worry about th' water now. And, I'll admit, at least that computer did a pretty good job of protecting its data. I can understand." Yes, her pride was gradually recovering, too—if only the same could be said for her leg. As she stood up, another sharp pain came through her body. She immediately fell back onto the chair, grabbing her ankle. "GRRRHH! Damn this leg!" She turned to Cyril, still rubbing and massaging her affected limb. "Doc, I'm gonna get some rest, all right?"

The usually attentive Rob, meanwhile, appeared to be lost in his own little world at that moment. His brow knitted together, he seemed to stare somewhere toward the wall in obvious confusion. " She's only sixteen?" he asked quietly to himself.

Still unclear on the events of the mission, Sally attempted to sit up and look at Sue... which quickly became twisting around while still curled up on her side. It may have been awkward, but it kept the headache at bay. "Why don't we have to worry about the water?" Noting Sonic's reappearance, the squirrelmunk stretched with grasping fingers for her computer -- even though he was nowhere near within her arm's reach.

At this moment, Vic, who till now'd been silent, chimed in. "You and Nicole reprogrammed the generator making the toxin to make a completely harmless chemical. Then I found a map so we could blow up the thing, and... then we all fell." Strangely, he seemed less surprised by Sally's age. But he apparently had other things on his mind.

"You see Sally? You pulled it off like you always do, even if it didn't go as well as it would have with me." That last part was spoken not in his usual arrogant tone, but instead with a heavy slathering of guilt, as he really did feel that it would have gone better, and with a distinct lessening of injuries, if he'd been there. He pressed Nicole into her hand. "Oh...also, when you're feeling better, we need to add these guys to the...second place users list."
