"Ok, what'cha need out of Nicole, rob?" Sonic asked the other hedgehog as the headed away from the medical hut. "I'm on her second rate user list, so I can ask her whatever for you."

Rob mused over his answer. "The second part of our plan, which I had to call off, was to take out the site where the chemicals were being dumped. Whatever data Her Majesty was trying to access must relate to that." As the two walked Rob chose a path leading down toward the residential lodges. His mind was at swift work figuring out just who in his lineup of Freedom Fighters were available to call on for this mission...

"Ok then..." He flipped open Nicole with a flick of his wrist. "Nicole, give us the scoop on the chemical dumping area."

It was a couple of minutes before the device responded. Nicole's screen was black save for a small, white, blinking cursor in the top left corner. It almost looked at first like she was waiting for a data input, but then the screen suddenly scrolled with a massive wall of text, and a moment later returned to its usual greenish state. "The chemical dumping site can be found 3.48 kilometers north from the central point of Mercia. While preliminary plans were designed on the notion of the mixed chemicals being dumped directly into the river, files from the central database revealed that the mixture site and dumping site were two entirely different locations. Princess Sally chose then to modify her tactics to sabotage the mixing site, then afterward to demolish the dumping site. This would both take out the remaining stockpiles of potent poison and divert attention from the fact that the mixture formula had been modified."

"It's not that far, then," Sue added, limbering up for the retry. "We can get there in 'bout 'alf an hour if we walk—maybe cut down on it with a brisk jog."

"And with a good look at some maps, I could probably help find good shortcuts so we won't get spotted."

"Hrm," Rob muttered to himself. "Our best bet would be to try taking both sites out simultaneously. If we wait to do them separately that'll give Itzal time to realize what we're doing and rally his defenses. So, we're going to need two teams..." he glanced over at the tapir trailing behind them, frowning slightly. "Sue, I think it would be better if you sit this one out. I don't want you hurting your leg worse than it is now."

"Ok, easy then," Sonic said with a shrug, "You guys handle one and I'll take the other."

Rob arched his brow at the other hedgehog. "While I don't doubt whatever your abilities are, I don't think leading an unknown group in territory you're unfamiliar with is the wisest choice."

Rob was correct in asking Sue stay behind: a minor ankle sprain would take at least a week to heal. At least it wasn't serious, as anything worse would have meant an even longer recovery, or perhaps surgery. Sue, eager to kick some more SWATbots just one minute ago, was hit with the hard reality of her injury. She had to stay in Meadowood—yet, she didn't want to. What would her late parents think? She always wanted to take action; her parents, after all, didn't raise her to be a spectator! She understood Rob made the decision for her own welfare, but she couldn't help but feel disappointed. I guess I have to play cheerleader to those three, she thought, rubbing the back of her head. Sue replied with only a small nod to Rob and a quiet "Yessir" out of her mouth before taking her seat on the dirt floor.

The squirrel glances at the tapir, and smiles a little. "Hey, you did a lot last time, you deserve a break... I'll try to take up the slack for not having you there, ok?"

Damn that Vic for making Sue feel slightly better. "Thanks, buddy," she said, managing to crack a smile. She took the hammer out of her tool belt and offered it to Vic. "Smash a SWAT for me, wontcha?"

"Nuhnonono, no," Sonic said, shaking his head. "When I said I'll take one, I meant me. Numero Uno. Solo act. So you won't have to worry about anyone else other than your own team."

And then the other brow migrated up to meet the other. This was soon followed by both collapsing into an unamused glare. "I don't really find this the time to be joking around."

"Who's joking?" Sonic said with a shrug. "I take out one, and you guys can put everything into taking out the other. Then we all come back here and party. Simple plan."

And that brow was back up in a rather incredulous expression. Taking a moment to find himself, Rob shook his head. "Absolutely not."

Looking at the offered hammer, which was rather large in comparison, the squirrel then took it, hefting it in both hands. "Sure thing, Sue."

Sue slowly resisted temptation to kiss Vic compassionately on the nose, opting instead to playfully ruffle his headfur. "Awww, that's wonderful, Vic," she said, pleased. "Y'all be careful over there. I'll be waitin' for ya here, I guess." In other words, Sue was content with sitting on the dirt floor and remaining there until they returned, or until Sue starved to death, whichever came first.

Sonic crossed his arms and looked a little annoyed. "And exactly why not? I've handled worse than blowing up some chemical dumper on my own."

"I've already said this is a foreign territory to you," Rob stated, continuing to become more disgruntled. "Her Majesty has already been hurt, and I'll not be responsible for letting someone else get hurt through reckless decisions. In any case, I still have a couple of others I need to get."

Sonic gave a fustrated sigh. "That's why I'm saying I should hit one solo. I've worked in weird places before." He recalled the trip to Nimbus island and Maga as top on that list. "Plus, you guys have a better chance of pulling of your end if I can keep the SWAT heads busy after I do mine. And since all of Buttnik's hedgehog stomping gear is probably back in Robotropolis, the ones up here'll be totally borked against me!"

Arching his brow, Rob shook his head. "If you've noticed at all, I'm also a hedgehog," before giving Sonic a chance to complain any further, he turned to answer Sue's question. "Manic and..." he scrunched his mouth up and cleared his throat. "... Espio. All of the others are down."

Ok, fine, he'd asked for it... Sonic stepped in front of Rob so that he couldn't just ignore him. "Yeah, ok, you're a hedgehog too. But can you also do..." And suddenly Sonic was gone, in his place was a sound like thunder accompanied by a gale force wind that pulled on everyone nearby. The sound of the sonic boom echoed down the village walkway before suddenly dropping down to ground level, then moved beneath them, before finally heading back up before something blue and blurry skidded to a halt right BEHIND Rob, revealing a smirking Sonic. "...that?" he finished.

All Sue could do was sit there, wide-eyed and slack-jawed. She slowly tugged at Vic's vest. " Kill me now, I must be dreaming. Vic...did you see what I just saw?"

"I... didn't see anything." The squirrel murmured, eyes wide as he looked at Sonic.

"..." Ignoring the fact his hood had flown off his head and his cloak had slipped loose from where he kept it tucked beneath his belt, the archer slowly turned, sure enough finding the other hedgehog standing there behind him. Blinking off his look of confusion, he lifted a finger and simply left his mouth to hang open for a moment. "... How did you do that?" he finally asked once he'd found his voice.

"Like..." *KABOOM* And Sonic suddenly disapeared again, running the same path as last time, though in the opposite direction to stop behind Rob again. "...that," he finished with a smirk from ear to ear.

"I've never seen anythin' like it in my life," Sue said, still in awe of Sonic's super speed. "Well, there ya go, Rob," she snickered, "Sonic's right: he could be his own party!" Realizing she could be of good use back home, she walked up to the hooded hedgehog. "I could still look after things here while you and th' others are away, Rob," she said, "or do ya insist I get some bedrest or somethin'?"

Rob's throat cracked as he worked to process what he had just witnessed. Turning back to face the younger hedgehog a second time he shook his head slightly, Sue's comment seeming to snap him from his reverie. Letting his eyes slip close he waved a hand. "Alright, I'll give you've got a... remarkable talent... but you're still not going alone. I want at least one person to go with you. As for you, Sue..." he waved his hand in a gesture. "As long as you're not on your feet you're free to do as you like."
