It was pretty obvious Rob wasn't in a good mood as he stepped off the last step. He could barely think through the pounding in his head, and now he had to deal with this. He should have known Espio wouldn't have been up to this. He should have known. "Let go of him Lindy. Espio, I want you to go to your lodge."

Vic just KNEW that if Rob spotted him now, there would be a whole new form of anger coming from the hedgehog, so simply prayed to Aurora that Rob wouldn't notice him.[rand=3491203536722731553344018318708920185038256203021601520158718836]

Lindy sighed, then, almost shoving him away as she did so, released Espio's horn and crossed her arms over her chest.

Stumbling a bit as he regained his balance, Espio resumed his colours and turned to give Rob a that's-not-fair look. "But... Rob, this really isn't my fault!! I was TRYING to make her be quiet!! I asked her like three or four times!!" With a vindictive scowl, the chameleon pointed an accusing finger at Lindy. "SHE'S the one that wouldn't keep her voice down or save it for later!! I told her over and over the overlander was trying to sleep!! I was trying everything I could, and I can prove it!! Vic was there too!!"

"... You had Vic with you...?" he tipped his head back, pulling in a long breath and releasing it slowly. "Lodge, Espio. Now please."

Vic had been overhearing this, and twitched a little as Espio mentioned his own presence.
Oh great... M'thinks some sneaking is in order tonight.
With that thought in mind, Vic attempted to quietly slip away, using the blankets piled on him as a disguise of sorts.

The teen's features fell in shattered disbelief. "But... But, Rob!!..." Espio never finished his thought, instead staring into his guardian's face -- first with pain, then with anger. The chameleon's jaw clenched and his hands tightened into fists. His eyes grew hot, and had begun to sting. Letting out a frustrated grunt, Espio turned and sprinted down the boardwalk, half-hollering as he ran, " YOU NEVER BELIEVE ME!!!"

Groan. Rob grit his teeth slightly in agitation and rubbed at the bridge of his nose, head still throbbing angrily. " And you always jump to conclusions..." he tilted his head back in an attempt to help relieve some of the pressure. "... I'll take those blankets, Vic. I have a splitting headache and I'm sure whatever problems anyone has can wait for the morning. Just please stay away from the human's lodge. Don't disturb him."

Lindy was moderatly surprised he hadn't turned on her yet, but decided to speak up anyway. "In my defense we WERE talking about the supply list... technically..." As for the human, she didn't care one way or the other about it, just as long as it stayed away from her.

Vic, knowing he'd been spotted, simply stood up under the blankets, then pulled them off, and quietly set them near Rob, then quickly scampered off towards his lodge.

The hedgehog heaved a sigh. "And it can be discussed further come morning. For now... I have other things I need to focus on than Espio's behavior." With a shake of his head he glanced around. Taking the blankets Vic had left he chose a nice sturdy looking branch nearby whose branches he could conceal himself in. Yes, he could make a nice perch for himself there to keep an eye on Nik until the next day... He sighed internally. Well, at least he'd managed to get a nap in earlier.
