Fora groaned slightly and rolled over. She slowly opened her eye, just to squeeze it shut again. Light, from the window, was way to bright for early in the morning. She opened her eye again and looked again. The sun had risen but it was still pretty early. Later than she normally got up that was for sure. Slowly she sat up, stretched, and looked around. Fora was a little disoriented, this wasn't her room. Then, everything came back to her. Sally had offered her the bed but Fora had refused saying the floor was fine. However as the night progressed strange noises kepte her up. When she was finally too scared she poked Sally awake and asked to sleep with her... cus the floor was uncomfortable...

Of course, the princess had raised no objection to receiving a bunkmate; had it not been so late at night (read: had she not been so sleepy) at the time, she would have continued with her original plan and surrendered her bed to the girl entirely. But the exhaustion had won her over, and when Fora had gently aroused the ground squirrel's consciousness, Sally simply smiled and scooted over. Now the morning light had begun to wash in through the window, and Sally continued to quietly rest at the cheetah's side. So far the girl's movements had not stirred her in the least. Sally was not typically a light sleeper; in fact, most nights the princess fell asleep as soon as she hit her pillow. With that in mind, it was no surprise that Fora's waking had not awakened her even slightly. Sally remained as still and silent as ever, one hand between her pillow and her cheek.

Fora looked that the sleeping ground squirrel. She didn't want to wake Sally, but there was no way she was going to get back to sleep. She was a farmer's daughter, whether she liked it or not she got up when the sun did. Slowly and quietly Fora slipped out of the bed. Her ankle twinged underneath her weight and she almost fell, it didn't hurt as bad today but it was enough to still make her limp. She sat on the floor and put her shoes on. Then, as quietly as she could, Fora made her way to the small wardrobe where her jacket was, she never went anywhere without that jacket. She slipped it on and made her way to the door. Before she opened it she looked over at Sally.

Just then the hut was shaken by something that sounded like a thunderclap happening right outside, causing the walls to vibrate slightly. However, Sally would probably sleep through it, given that it was a regular occurance. After all... ...it was just Sonic out for his morning run.

Whether or not Fora had noticed it yet, another bed sporting turquoise linens had been sitting across from the princess'. There was a clearly obvious lump under its blankets indicating a body beneath. Suddenly the figure shifted, producing the sound of metal hitting against metal from beneath the covers.

Fora pulled away from the door at the sound of the boom and the rattling of the walls and windows. She was surprised but not scared, until a sound came from the other side of the room. Metal against metal. No even though she had met Uncle Chuck, all she thought when she heard that sound was the SwatBots. Fora's eyes widened and, ignoring her ankle completely, tore across the room. She threw up the blankets, pulled them over her head, and shoved herself against Sally in a terrified hug. Needless to say Fora was scared.

Sally may have been a deep sleeper, but even she couldn't remain unconscious through that. As a pair of foreign arms wrapped around her torso and squeezed her close, the princess let out a not-entirely-coherent sigh and mumbled, " No, Sonic, not now..." It wasn't until a moment later that Sally really seemed to wake up. Whether she was too concerned about her ward to be embarrassed, or she just had no recollection of what she'd said, the ground squirrel's focus zeroed in on the frightened cheetah. "Fora?? What's wrong? Is your ankle bothering you?"

Fora clung tightly to Sally, burying her face. She didn't hear Sally, mumble, but she did hear her ask what was wrong. Fora looked up at the ground squirrel. "I heard something, Sally," She said urgently, "On the other side of the room." She hadn't even noticed the other bed. Or the lump of a person in said bed. Her ankle throbbed dully from her sprint but she ignored it.

The lump shifted slightly again, producing that same metal-on-metal sound.

Patting Fora gently on the top of her head, Sally yawned and stretched. Now was as good of a time to start the day as any. "It's okay," she assured once speech returned to her. "No one and nothing's going to hurt you; that's just Bunnie. You didn't get to meet her last night." Pausing for a second yawn, the princess shook the rest of the sleep from her head and smiled at Fora. "I know this is all new and strange to you, but try not to worry. You'll be safe here. "Now," Sally continued, giving the cheetah a friendly hug, "how about some breakfast?"

Fora suddenly felt really embarressed. She had been scared by a sound that Sally's friend had made. Her ears went down, she had ended up doing the exact opposite of what she had wanted to do. She woke up Sally. Her ears drooped slightly. But at the mention of food she perked up slightly. The last time she had had a real meal was when... Food sounded great right now. She smiled up at Sally. "Breakfast sounds great," She said.

The rabbit shifted one final time, and this time a loud yawn she finally began to peel back the covers to reveal herself. Her normally brown and cream face was covered in what appeared to be... green colored mud. "Lans sake, Sally-girl, what's with all the ruckus so early?" she asked in a groggy tone as she rubbed at her eyes. She blinked away at the sleep before they finally focused, then tilted her head slightly when she realized there was a new person standing in the room. "Oh... howdy there!" she paused, gasping suddenly in horror, "Oh, shoot, don't look at me, Ah'm a right mess!" she said, suddenly pulling the covers back over her head to hide her mudpacked face and unbrushed hair.

Sally laughed sheepishly and ran a hand back through her own messy hair. "Well, I guess we're all looking a little unkept at the moment," she said, ignoring the fact that Fora was already dressed. The princess pushed herself to her feet and stretched again, resulting in several low pops from her back. As she pulled on her blue boots, Sally announced, "Sorry for such a rude awakening Bunnie; Sonic and I picked her up from Robotropolis last night. Her name is Fora." The ground squirrel rose to her feet and put a hand on the cheetah's shoulder, beginning to guide her toward the door. "I'm going to go get her something to eat. Why don't you join us later? Then I can give you both a more proper introduction."

Fora tried to stifle a snicker, she really did. After all, Sally and Bunnie shared their hut with her. Though she couldn't keep from laughing all together, she was able to keep it quiet. As the two moved towards the door, Fora struggled to hide the worsened limp. At the second mention of food however, Fora's stomach growled accordingly and loudly. She put her hand on her stomach as if that would make the sound less noticeable. She grinned sheepishly up at Sally before tossing a smile at the bed sheets. "Bye Miss Bunnie," something she had always been taught to do, was show respect to your elders by calling them Miss or Mr. unless asked to do otherwise. It was one of the few rules of her mother's that she obeyed.

Her mechanical arm appeared out from behind the blanket and waved dismissively. "Nothin' but a lil thang, Sally-girl," she chuckled sheepishly. "Shoo now, Ah'll see ya'll in a bit,"

Fora's limping, however minimalized, hardly escaped Sally's keen eye. Without saying anything to arouse Bunnie's attention (as that would probably make both of them uncomfortable), the princess just smiled and wrapped one of Fora's arms around her shoulders. " We'll have Rosie look at that ankle today, too," she whispered to the cheetah as she helped her out the door.

Fora nodded, not really knowing how to answer. Her ankle throbbed with each step and pretending it didn't hurt too much was... well... starting to hurt. She just knew they were going to say to stay off her feet. She knew she would have to, but she wanted to avoid that as long as possible. She looked up and gave her best smile. "What are we having for breakfast, Sally?"

"We'll see what's there to choose from," the princess replied, trying to support much of Fora's weight so her injured ankle wouldn't have to.
