 For the second time he experienced those vivid colors flashing brilliantly before his eyes, but this time he paid no attention to them. No, his mind was elsewhere, focused on an unwelcome travel companion who had tagged along with him. The hedgehog modeled metallix tumbled onto the filthy trash riddled ground with a loud klunk, kicking up a storm of dust into the air along with the human modeled android he had traveled with. Metal blinked as his motion ceased, eyes darting around at his surroundings; at the dark eternally twilight city bathed heavily in grime and pollution. For the briefest of moments a sense of both relief and disappointed flooded him, discovering all the the functions that had been earlier disabled now working again. Immediately he pinpointed his surroundings, comforted by the sense of security this gave him. And then he turned, digital eyes narrowed dangerously at the android. He opened a radio signal. <INTRUDER ALERT! All available units to sector Q-5, quadrant 9!> A furious growl emanated as he finished, and he attempted to kick Ishnt away from him and get back to his feet.  As Ishnt successfully passed through the portal, he became relieved, as he hit the solid ground, reassuring him that he would live a while longer yet. His eyes were shut tight, in part to shield from the light in case it was damaging, and in part to block out the possibility of falling to his death. He began to open his eyes slowly. [dice=6] But then, catching his enemy's foot in his stomach, he was knocked away with a shout of pain, rolling across the ground until he caught himself with his hands and pushed off to flip into a standing position. He glanced around, surveying his surroundings quickly. His GPS systems were offline- a disorienting feeling, as he had been at least partially relying on them for his entire time active- confirming that he had arrived in the alternate universe. Attempting to adjust as well as he could to having lost a sense he had been so reliant on, he pointed at Metal. "Hey! Not so nice of you! You promise an alliance and then try to break it off that easy? Then you try to kill me! The doctor's not gonna be too happy... but more importantly, now that we're on the ground, I can show you what an Eggman combat android can do!" Without any indication that he was done talking, the android dashed forward attempting a quick-succession attack, shooting while he was dashing, then following with an uppercut and a spin kick. [dice=6][dice=6][dice=6] "As I recall," Metal hissed as he took to the air, nimbly dodging both the shot and the uppercut. With blinding speed his talons reached out, grabbing the android's foot. "You began to shoot at me first. But that is alright," and then, still holding onto his leg, the metallix attempted to dig his talons into the Ishnt's synthetic skin and lift him into the air. "Because I am going to slowly cleave away your skin, disassemble you into so many spare parts, and leave you to rust in the sewers." [dice=6] That android was faster than he'd initially credited him for. There was a loud sound of metal hitting against metal as the metallix's face snapped backward, showing a dent in his face plate. He snarled venomously. "No! It does not!" and then using his own momentum from the strike he spun, swinging a double slash at his opponent's face. [dice=6][dice=6] Getting caught across the chin with the first slash, Ishnt yelped in pain as the synthetic skin was torn and a blood-like substance dripped from the fresh cut, a byproduct of his status as an infiltration robot. With lightning speed, he ducked out of the way of the second slash, glaring at the odious being who had attempted it. "With every attack you hasten your death! Now I'm REALLY mad!" In an attempt to distract Metal, he delivered another blow toward his face, but just as quickly as it was done, grasped for his arm and tried to swing him into the ground.  Meanwhile, in Robotropolis, Robotnik looked up from his work when Metal's signal came through. He frowned for a few moments, then smirked. Metal had been behaving ... oddly, before. And the connection he had to robot had been fuzzy at best- this signal was loud and clear. This led Robotnik to believe his hunch was correct- the Metal that had been here may not of been the one he'd of built. And seeing as already two offworlders have claimed there was an alternative version of himself, it wasn't too far fetched to believe that the Metal that'd been acting oddly was not his own. This one, most likely, was his. Still, it never hurt to be cautious. He'd reply to Metal Sonic's call, but he'd also add the additional order: Apprehend Metal Sonic. That done, he went back to what he was doing- trying to discern a pattern in the portals appearing all over Mobius. |

[dice=6][dice=6] Metal's eyes locked their sight onto the 'blood', narrowing in jealousy. It was only moments before the android's fist once again slammed into his face, causing his head to be thrown aside. However, he merely scoffed. "Those are some bold words. However, you seem to forget one thing... you are in my world now and I am not only superior to you, I have the home advantage." Spotting the grab in advance, the robot twisted his arm away, and instead tried to grab Ishnt instead, the robot electrifying his arm in the process. Putting some distance between himself and his opponent, Ishnt fired on him once more with a full-power shot from his cannon. [dice=6] The blast was suddenly deflected as another laser appeared out of nowhere and slammed into the projectile.  "INTRUDER ALERT. STAND DOWN BY ORDER OF LORD ROBOTNIK," The SWATbot in the lead declared, as the group of robots behind it all raised their arms to aim their wrist-mounted laser blasters at the duo. Being near Ishnt, Metal was happily unaware he was also being targeted. He rolled his talons into fists and shot an annoyed glare at the surrounding robots. "You are the slowest, most unreliable hunks of scrap I have ever had the misfortune of working with!" And then he turned his focus back to Ishnt, folding his arms and unintentionally striking a cocky pose reminiscent of the hedgehog he was based on. "You are surrounded and these units will not hesitate to use lethal force if necessary. I hope you choose not to surrender." |

But instead of responding with words, Ishnt shot another blast at Metal before smirking and jumping away. [dice=6] "Surrender? Just when this fight is starting to get interesting? These pieces of scrap look like they wouldn't last five seconds." Deactivating his cannon, the android slammed his fist into his palm, alternating for the other one. "Come on then! Who wants to be the first to be torn to pieces?" Lowering his head and narrowing his eyes, he chuckled. "How about YOU?" [dice=6] Metal just scoffed and leaned aside, the shot missing him entirely. "I am pleased to hear that. It would be boring otherwise." His eyes went half mast at the performance of the SWATbots. And of course they were just as useless as ever. His eyes rolled into his head. No wonder Robotnik had had him built. At times he felt he was the only robot in the entire city capable of anything. While the android's attention was focused on the now obliterated SWATbot, Metal rushed him with two more electrified swipes, following it up with a kick aimed at his chin. Swatbot: [dice=6] Metal: [dice=6] [dice=6] [dice=6] Ishnt leapt out of the way of the Swatbot's attack with ease, firing off a charged shot at a group of them, but before he could aim properly, he was clipped in the back of the head. There was a surprised shout, before he spun around to dodge the next attack, and while Metal was off-balance from his attack, the android went in for a side swipe kick of his own. [dice=6] Ishnt's attack was thrown off by the narrowest of margins. The SWATbot he'd been aiming for lived on...and proceeded to do something that would severely shorten its lifespan. It aimed at Metal Sonic. Other SWATbots took their cue from this and aimed at the blue robot as well. Their orders were to capture both the intruder and Metal alive, and if the two of them continued to attack each other like this then there was a chance one or both could perish. Thus, the SWATs were forcefully ending the fight. "BOTH PARTIES SHALL CEASE HOSTILITIES IMMEDIATELY AND PREPARE FOR IMMINENT CAPTURE," The newly-appointed lead SWATbot declared. "UNIDENTIFIED INTRUDER AND UNIT METAL SONIC HAVE BEEN ORDERED FOR LIVE CAPTURE AND IMPRISONMENT BY LORD ROBOTNIK. THESE UNITS HAVE BEEN AUTHORIZED TO USE NON-LETHAL FORCE IF EITHER TARGET HINDERS MISSION OBJECTIVES." The SWATbot executed an intimidation subroutine as it tried to look as menacing as it could, brandishing its blaster in a blatant physical threat towards the two robots' persons. "STAND DOWN IMMEDIATELY." The subtle whine of charging power cells indicated that all of the other SWATbots around them were arming their weapons as well, as opposed to the small portion that had previously been firing at Ish. Things were about to either get real calm or real messy, real quick. |

Ishnt laughed as the Swatbots finished their explanation. "So you've come to escort us to that Robotnik, have you? I think I'll skip on the imprisonment, though. This bucket of bolts was planning on ditching me, but if you'll just lead me to him, I might consider sparing your pathetic existences. I'm not gonna sit in any stinking holding cell or prison though, if that's what you've got planned, so you'd better forget it. I demand to speak with Robotnik immediately." |

Of course, the blue robot was completely unphased, not to mention unimpressed, by the threatening display. He was, however, unnerved and confused by the fact his own creator had apparently ordered for his capture. His first instinct was to argue, but he was quite sure that wasn't going to get him anywhere. And besides, if Robotnik had ordered it... His eyes narrowed, thrusting his arms into the air, "I surrender!" he hissed reluctantly. |

The SWATbots broke into a dance number closed in and slapped sets of reinforced restraints on the wrists of both robots. Then with a rough shove, the group began moving towards Robotropolis HQ. "PAGING DOCTOR ROBOTNIK," The lead SWAT announced. "ATTENTION, DOCTOR ROBOTNIK IS BUSY AT THE MOMENT. PLEASE HOLD." It began playing elevator music from its speakers. |
