Near the living area of Knothole, a large thicket was shoved aside, and stepping onto the earthy walkway leading toward the huts was a teal cybernetic wolf. Behind him another cyborg followed, this one a brown and gold tenrec. Releasing the branches, the wolf began walking along the trail. "Rosie's place is just ahead," Lance announced, glancing idly at his companion and wondering where the others around Knothole he'd seen earlier had gotten of to.

As the two approached, an young girl sat on a nearby porch conversing with her feline companion. "What was, wasn't, and what wasn't was. And entire world of nonsense. Do you understand, Dinah?" The small cat shook its head. "Mao." "You see in my world, you wouldn't say meow. You'd say 'Good day, Miss Alice.'" She said, picking up the feline. The cat meowed slightly in confusion. "Oh, but you would." She reassure it. The girl was either very autistic or going very deeply mad.

"I don't really need a bandage for it now... seems to of stopped bleeding... then again, probably need to disinfect it..." the tenrec wrinkled his nose whilst he muttered to himself and examined the bite on the hand, not looking at the ground as he walked (probably a good way to trip, really). He paused a moment, as a glimmer of something shiney above catching his attention. (Not to be confused with the very shiney but also very above Angel Island). He blinked a few times, not quite believing what he was seeing. "... those fish are flying."

"You're the one who said you wanted to treat it." Lance rolled his eyes, glancing over at the fish Dash was looking at. "... Duh, what do you think they'd do?"

Alice overheard the small talk between the tenrec and the wolf and directed her attention. She dropped Dinah out of surprise, causing the cat to yelp disapprovingly. "... It couldn't be."

" Swim? Just ... whatever. Nevermind." The tenrec gave an exasperated sigh. Obviously flying fish were perfectly normal here, no matter how weird he thought they were. "... it's stupid not to treat a bite like this. I just meant I probably don't need a bandage for it now since it's not bleeding." He looked back at his hand again and continued to frown. "... so anyway, you mentioned earlier... and... I guess we saw... my ... uhm... 'other self'..." he trailed off a bit, wondering how exactly he'd word his question.

"Well yeah, some fish do that too. I don't get what your problem is." the wolf shrugged as he continued to lead the tenrec through the village.

And then she struck. "Dash!" She exclaimed, grabbing a hold of the tenrec's arm.

"Where I come from, fish don't f-" and at that point, a girl clung to him. "... excuse me?"

Lance bit his lip and glanced off to one side when the hybrid suddenly latched onto Dash. " This is gonna be fun..."

"How on Mobius did you get deroboticized?" She asked, on the verge of bursting into tears.

Dash sighed. Apparently it was one of those mistaken identity situations again. "I'm no the Dash you know, I'm from an alternative dimension so I haven't really a clue about what you're talking about, and it's all sorta hard to explain." He paused and looked down at the girl then gave a startled blink. She was, even if from another dimension, someone he recognized. "... Alice?"

The girl's face fell. "Oh... I'm dreadfully sorry then..." He drifted off. The explanation he'd presented to her was ridiculous, at least in her opinion. Then again, a girl with 'tendencies' such as her didn't normally find many things ridiculous. "Another dimension?" She asked, bravely hoping that someone wasn't playing a joke on her. "What colour is the sky there?"

" Aw boy..." he glanced at the girl. "This isn't your boyfriend Alice. Honestly, why would he only be halfway deroboticized?" He glanced away and frowned. Way too awkward for him.

" Sky blue. What other colour would a sky be? ... Other then grey, or orange..."

At that moment a plumber walked by. He munched on some mushrooms that made him grow fifteen feet taller and silently thanked that crazy caterpillar dealer for the hookup.

"A shade of green perhaps?" She suggested, buffeting back Dash's response. "And how was I supposed to know how the process works? Miss Rabbot is partially deroboticized!" The girl added, turning to respond to Lance.

"No, definitely not green." And then there was an awkward pause as he digested what Lance had said. This universe's version of him actually got the girl? The first feeling that hit him was jealousy, but when he remembered the condition of his alternate self, it faltered, then quickly died. He shook his head and looked towards Alice, expression slightly pained. As much as he wished that he were in his double's position in regard to her, that was the only thing worth envying.. "I'm sorry, I'm really not who you think I am."

"Partially roboticized, not deroboticized," he rolled his eyes. "And in case you didn't notice, I am too. Dur."

Alice turned to Lance, letting out only one utterance. "Dinah." The cat pounced. [dice=6] She turned back to Dash, with a bit of curiosity in her eyes, fighting back the bit of turmoil she felt having seen the organic image of her boyfriend again. "There's no need to apologize." She replied. "Given the circumstances, at least." [rand=052204297223031665200901761354988668921857807735211410963564899712]

Dash found himself staring at the girl before him, but with a jerk he looked away, averting his gaze This isn't someone I know, not really... He frowned as he reminded himself that this wasn't this world, and that this Alice wasn't the one he knew, and that this Alice already had a significant other- who wasn't him (and yet, in a bizarre ironic way, was him). It was a bit unsettling when he thought over his relationship with his world's version of Alice... He snapped back to reality and held up his injured hand, hoping to end the awkward situation. "I really need to get this treated, so... uhm... yeah."

[dice=6] The cat pounced onto his metallic shin, which Lance just easily kicked off, then rolled his eyes into his head, muttering something very unkind about both him and Alice.[rand=50920437370379919783869330041399365394702383771360601583854025709]

Ignoring Lance's rude remark, Alice paid particular attention to the wound on the alternate Dash's hand. "Oh, my goodness." She said, approaching him to get a closer look out of impulse. "I'm so dreadfully sorry for any delay I may have caused. We should take you to Rosie and let her have a look at that."

"Yeah, we'll just be getting to that." Lance spoke up, snatching the tenrec by his mechanical wrist and dragging him away to further inside the village. "Ugh that girl..." he mumbled once he was sure he was out of earshot.

Dash didn't really want to be dragged off like that but... apparently this version of Lance was much stronger then he expected. Oh well, he still had questions... " 'That girl?' What's wrong with her?"

A pair of large ears preceeded the head of a fennec fox girl as she leaned out her window. "Lance, could you please stop angering Alice, Dinah makes such an awful racket when she's attacking you..." she trailed off and her eyes widened a tad when she saw Dash. "Dash...so I wasn't hearing things..."

Before he could bother to make any kind of remark on Alice, Lance's eyes snapped over to the fox and he gave an irritated huff. "Feh! It's not my fault the girl's as dense as a brick!"

Dash sighed at the new voice. Yet ANOTHER person mistaking him for his alternative self. "Listen, I know this will sound stupid or hard to believe but-" His gaze drifted to where the voice came from, and for a moment, he was left wide-eyed and speechless. But only a moment. For a second later, he covered his eyes and looked away, looking extremely flustered. "S-sorry!"

"Sorry? Is there something wrong with him, other than that he seems only partially deroboticized?" she asked Lance, "I've read in some of Rotor and Sir Charles' notes that the derobotization procedure can be as traumatizing as roboicization itself..."
