Jonas was about to answer her, probably in as rude a way as he could, when the entire building gave an enormous shudder.
What the...
"Save it," he said aloud, "we're leaving." And, forgoing any attempts at stealth, took off down one of the city's streets.

Anne seems to curl a little into herself, looking around as if that would allow her to really see what was going on outside the Robian's body. As it was, she could only make him see her, and she could see what he looked like. "What's going on?"

"Oh come on, you didn't feel that!?" he said increduously as they headed down an alley, "Somethings going down and I want to get out of here before it falls on me!"

The spider girl just stared at Jonas for a moment, then sighed. "I can't even see what's going on around you. I'm just making myself visible to you so we could talk."

"Well since its your fault you're even here, I suggest you quit whining!" Jonas snapped. They were heading for the junkyards, as they were usually the least secure areas of the city. He'd stop there before deciding where to go next.

Taking a moment to "peek" into Jonas' visual data, Anansi saw that they seemed to be heading away from... wherever they were. This took a moment to sink in, until a realization struck the spider hacker. Inari was a jerk, but he must have had some reason to be remote-controlling some sentient bot, right? What if some of her allies were back there somewhere? She had to admit she couldn't tolerate half of them, but they were still on her side. And she wasn't gonna let her ride DRAG here out of here without at least CHECKING. So, after a few moments looking for the motor control programs... Anansi attempted to sever Jonas' control of his own body, and put it under HER control. In essence, she was gonna do what Inari'd been doing. Just... from the inside. This was gonna be fun. [dice=6] At least, that's what she thought. Jonas twitched a bit, just enough to be noticable, but other than that it didn't slow him down in the slightest. "I don't know what the HECK you think you're doing, but stop...NOW!"[rand=97872657300675420140803332592749964459898929131547988790901394076]

Anansi just frowned. "Then turn around. I've got... allies back there. I'd rather be with them than in your head listening to you gripe." Anansi then made a great show of deep thought. "OR, I could just turn on your transmitter as an emergency beacon, and when you get taken in, jump out of you when they hook you up to... whatever they'd use to 'fix' your brain." Anansi then looked Jonas in the 'eyes', her expression chilly. "It's up to you, Murphy."

Jonas kept going. "Hmm go back and find your friends, or let you bring SWATbots down on us? Well, considering both options put me in the hands of people that have already screwed me over at least once...yet option two gives a possibility of you getting deleted when Robotnik finds you in his computers..." he mused. "Given that...I'll take my chances," he deadpanned, and increased his pace.

The spider just sighed, and gave a shrug as she vanished from the robian's vision. However, to show she wasn't COMPLETELY gone, she allowed him to still hear her voice. "Well, I DID warn you." With that, Anansi located the transmitter program. Now let's see... I could just send myself somewhere, or act on my threat. There was a short pause, and the spider giggled. Oh who'm I kidding? Time to screw you over, buddy. With that, Anansi attempted to hack the transmitter into an emergency beacon. [dice=6] [rand=96724865111261062234729151650459772019159456444566269546578390996]

[dice=6] "You're only gonna screw yourself over," Jonas muttered, dropping all pretenses of being a 'good little workerbot' and runing full tilt towards the junkyards. With luck, maybe he could find something he could use to block the transmitter, otherwise, even if he managed to find any freedom fighters, he'd be just a liability to them.[rand=85906263969389611580910878878204519036451825603418311707054036047]

"We'll see, tincan." With that, Anansi tried turning the beacon up to what she figured would be full strength, which SHOULD call down every... What'd he call them? Oh, right. SWATbots.Every SWATbot within the city limits. And then Anansi would be one step closer to getting out of here.

And it was a fight he was gonna get, as from various directions, fifteen swatbots all converged on Jonas' position, speaking in unison. "Rogue worker unit sighted! Disable and Capture! Halt, rogue worker unit!" Then... They started shooting, aiming to take out the squirrel's legs. [dice=6][dice=6][dice=6] Whoa. These guys work fast. And don't skimp on the numbers. Fun. Anansi took a moment to try 'pinging' the robots with Jonas' transmitter, and learned something interesting. They were linked to a network. Well, then, maybe she could be out of this guy's head sooner than she thought. She just needed to establish a quick link... And so she got to work.[rand=757788846943466966057765075482569207276921354158999284205225243]

[dice=6][dice=6][dice=6] Jonas quickly dived behind a trash pile, the laser blasts only putting holes in it instead of him. He concentrated for a second, causing sharp, screwdriver like 'claws' to extend from his fingertips. Then, taking a deep breath to ready himself, he charged the SWATbots. Letting out a roar that channeled over a decade's worth of anger and fustration, he slammed into the lead SWAT. There was a shriek of metal on metal, as he tore into it like one of his feral ancestors would a pile of acorns.[rand=9585980131570098997349143210383600775324817851830210335711927571683]

If the SWATbots had been organic opponents, or at the very least, sentient, they may have been unsettled to see one of their brethren ripped to scrap in front of them. But as it was, they simply turned, and moved in, still firing in an attempt to disable the Robian, with no thought for their own safety. They weren't programmed for that, after all. [dice=6][dice=6][dice=6] Anansi, meanwhile, was still trying to access the SWATbot's network, so she could possibly jump into one of them, and hitch a ride, or even better, get into the computer controlling THEM. So far... she was about halfway there. [rand=146217222024745078389826878895608346377050951856349634504251871363]

[dice=6][dice=6][dice=6] A bolt caught him in the side, but he didn't let it slow him down. He fell on another SWATbot, dealing with it as viciously as he had the first. It didn't matter anymore. If he was going to go back into slavery, he was going to make sure Robotnik paid for every byte of his programming as much as he could.[rand=393497104986657969157660830233891849213430865590309631960779702092]

With a second of their number falling to the robian, the SWATbots now began focusing their firepower on severing, rather than disabling his limbs. aiming for his shoulders first. [dice=6][dice=6] (left shoulder) [dice=6][dice=6] (right shoulder) Anansi was not amused. Every time she thought she had it, she'd find another firewall locking her out of the SWATs. But there couldn't be more than two more firewalls left, so... It was only a matter of time. She still had, oh, about 20 seconds by her guess. [dice=6][dice=6] [dice=6][dice=6] Jonas was already mid leap when several blasts struck home, hitting a lot more than just his shoulders. He landed hard, bouncing and rolling to a stop at his intended target's feet...the only indication he was still alive being the red glow of his eyes.[rand=06464307419301396274054457625681732661361068374313229306580151673]

The SWATS ceased firing once the robian dropped to the ground, his intended target reaching down to pick him up when... "Ha! Finally got in! Now where to go..." Anansi checked for the nearest SWAT, and after a moment... Jonas was alone in his mind again. The SWATbot reaching for Jonas suddenly received several error messages, most relating to memory usage exceeding normal parameters, from its main drive, and froze. After a second, it continued moving, and picked up Jonas, carrying him under one arm. Another SWAT turned to the one that had frozen up, and requested a diagnostic. Receiving a 98% acceptable function result, the matter was dropped. If only they'd taken the time to actually check the SWAT's verbal responses. Heheheh... Now to drop tin-head here somewhere, and find the others. Or maybe I could take him with me, and give him back to Inari... That'd serve him right. With that malicious thought driving her, Anansi the "SWATbot", carried her cargo towards the main tower. The other SWATs simply returned to their normal patrols.[rand=92018933699698874648565151298548673544044452247608542725113140015]
