After that hair-raising, mind-boggling tour, Dash was just beginning to remember which direction was ‘up’. This was mostly because he was now face down in the dirt, and generally, the ground was ‘down’, and whatever was not the ground was generally ‘up’. Also ‘down’ was his current mood, but that was to be expected after almost loosing the lunch that you haven't had yet, actually loosing your memory of the last few days, gaining a pounding headache (which was not improved by said tour), getting bruised in the side by a 'friend', and… probably something else too. He wasn’t keeping a list at the moment. Oh, yeah, he also tripped. Which would be why he was now face down in the dirt. “Today… is not my day…”

"Ah'd say so Sugah, 'less that there's what ya'll consider a weird place to be takin' a nap." There was a soft, good natured chuckle, followed by the shuffling of mechanical feet stepping up in front of him. Bunnie crouched down over him and nudged him gently with her flesh hand.

An ear twitched at the nudge and the tenrec pulled himself up into a kneeling, and he frowned at the rabbit. "You're not going to take me on a tour, are you? I'm still recovering from the last one."

A puzzled look greeted the tenrec, but after a moment Bunnie snickered and began chuckling. "Oh mah stars, Sugahog got a holda ya'll didn't he?" she offered her hand to him and smiled kindly. "He shure has a way'a leavin' an impression on new folks."

Dash took her hand and gave her a greatful nod. "Yeah, well, I think my friend left an 'impression' on his shoes."

She blinked. Then melted into a fit of giggles. "Oh my. Ohhh my. Ah'm sure that made him happy." she paused to caught her breath. "Yeah, Sugahog's method of transport takes a bit of gettin' used to. So what might ya'll's name be there strangah? Mah name's Bunnie."

Dash wiped of some of the extra dirt that clung to him from his 'trip' before replying, "Dash Tadelesh, nice to meet you Bunnie." He glanced around the area a bit before adding, "This place looks a lot nicer when the scenery isn't whipping around at Mach 1."

"Plesure's all mine," she smiled sweetly. "So what's a cute lil hedgehog like yerself doin' in these parts anywho?"

Once again (for what? The third or fourth time that day?) the tenrec's spines bristled, but this time he hurried to smooth them down again. "Not... not a hedgehog, thank you. Tenrec. I... get that a lot." He frowned suddenly and removed his hand from his spines, holding a few quills, and sighed. Must of been shook loose after that tour from hell. "Anyway, I don't really know what I'm doing around here, I can't really remember what happened the last few days. I think I got hit in the head too hard." To emphasize, he pointed at the bandages Rosey had wrapped around his head. "Lance could probably tell you more, but I don't trust most of what he says anyway."

Taking in a fresh breath of air, the young princess Sally stepped out of her hut and shut the door securely behind her. That long rest and sack of ice seemed to have been just what she needed, and now she was determined to greet the newcomers properly. Heading down the well-beaten path, Sally quickly spotted Dash and Bunnie near the creek bridge. A smile quickly spreading, the ground squirrel closed the gap just as Dash was adjusting his quills. "Hello again," she began cheerily. "Settling in okay?"

Bunnie's face flustered a bit. "Oh stars, Ah'm so sorry! Golly how embarrassin'," she said, waving her hand and giving a nervous chuckle. She gave a glance over to Sally however and waved. "Hey Sally-girl, Dash was just tellin' me about this nasty ol' bump on his noggin'," she turned back to the tenrec and frowned a bit. "Ya'll gonna be okay with that? Did find ya'll in the dirt y'know..."

Dash smiled when the princess came over. It was hard to stay grumpy when everyone around here seemed to radiate sunshine, and so friendly too. "I suppose I am. It's the people that really make a place feel cozy." And to Bunny he shrugged in a 'well, what are you going to do, really?' fashion, "Yeah, I know. I probably shouldn't be up and about but I don't exactly have anywhere to rest at the moment."

Sally blinked. "Sonic didn't get you a hut? Ugh..." She couldn't contain her exasperated sigh as she smacked herself in the forehead. "What am I going to do with him?" Glancing over her shoulder, the princess's eyes scanned along the row of huts, eventually settling on the one on the far end, then turned back to face her friends. "I know the last hut in this row isn't occupied," she said to Dash, then turned her attention to Bunnie. "I'm sure there's another that isn't being used, but I don't know which. Do you remember, Bunnie?"

"Not off hand, hon," one of Bunnie's ears twitched and she shrugged. "But at least we can get Sugahrec here settled so he can get a lil rest. What all's in that hut anyway?"

The tenrec shifted his footing, looking over at the hut that the princess had pointed out. At least it wasn't falling apart or anything. "I don't care where you put me, even if there's a toilet in the living room." But there was one thing he did care about... "Just don't bunk me together with Lance."

Sally headed back toward the huts, expecting the others to follow. "Not a lot, I don't think. It ought to just be some of Rotor's extra things that he couldn't fit in his workshop. Other than that it should have basic furnishing." The princess climbed the deck steps and turned the doorknob of the hut in question, but when the door opened, she was greeted with a wall of junk. Not a wave of junk, as happens with Rotor's closet; this was far worse. The junk in the hut was crammed and wedged together so tightly, it didn't move once an opening was created. Sally's eyes widened. "....Perhaps I was mistaken."

Bunnie's ears immediately drooped limply around her face " Oh mah stars and heavens in the sky..." she muttered. "Ya'll've got to be kiddin' me." The cyborg rabbit walked up to the wall and attempted to remove what seemed to be a loose object. After tugging for a moment with her robotic arm she hiked a leg up against the wall and put all her strength into it. And yet... the object would not move. She finally gave an exasperated sigh and gave up. "Oh ya, this'un's gonna be a fun day..."

AND THE TENREC... was not surprised. "Hm. Well. That figures." He wandered over and picked up a loose looking piece, examining it an a non-plussed manner. "This Rotor guy sure has a lot of-" and then a cascade of junk washed over him.

"Dash!!" Sally cried, quickly dropping to her knees and pulling carborators and gaskets and toolboxes and kitchen sinks and anvils and the treasure of the Sierra Madre (Rotor really has a lot of junk) off of the tenrec. Somewhere deep down inside, though... she thought it was kind of funny. She managed to unbury his face. "Dash, are you alright??"

Having let off a similar cry, Bunnie also began helping to unbury the hapless tenrec. "Sugahrec, ya'll feelin' well?" she asked as they finally uncovered part of him. "That bump on yer noggin' okay?!"

Dash gave a few dizzy blinks before finally replying, "The house is clear now."

Setting her jaw, Sally climbed past Dash into the sea of junk in the unoccupied hut. A good chunk of it did seem to have fallen out onto the hapless tenrec, but there was still a lot to be cleaned out. Through the mess, however, she did manage to pick out a bed, a table, two chairs, and a dresser among the various other random items. "I think this hut will be fine if we can just clean it out," she called back, wading further in. "We're just going to have to find somewhere else to store all of Rotor's crap contraband stuff instead."

While Sally examined the inside, Bunnie stayed outside and continued clearing stuff away in an effort to get the still buried tenrec free. She picked up one particularly odd object and screwed her nose at it. "What's Rotor need all this here stuff for anywho?" she tossed the object aside and continued digging at the pile. "Can't be nothin' too special if it was all crammed in there like that."

Generally, it was never ever a good idea to get knocked on the head a second time after a concussion. "Wow, that cloud looks just like Alice! Heh."

((TIME JUMP HURRAY!!)) Some hours later, Sally stood in the middle of the hut and looked around. The job they did tidying it up really wasn't too shabby at all; even for only having basic furnishings, the girls had managed to make the place more homely with some extra attention to things like curtains or bringing in some flowers. ((Yes, they brought Dash FLOWERS. XD)) Stepping back outside, the princess smiled at her two friends. "I think this hut is officially ready for occupancy!"

And, conveiniently, it was about that time Lance wandered by. Deciding to poke his nose where it most likely didn't belong he approached the small group. "Hey cuties and Dash. What's up?"

'Cutie' wasn't the name Sally would've preferred to be addressed as, but considering that this guy was still new, it didn't seem appropriate to scold him. Yet. "Hello again. We've been working on getting this hut ready for residence. This one's pretty much done; now we have to clean out the other hut, and find out where else we can store Rotor's trash rat's nest belongings."

"Eh, I lost my apatite." he shrugged and wandered inside, glancing around. "Residence eh? Not bad. Not bad." he walked over toward the bed and threw himself onto it. After bouncing on the springs a couple times he threw his hand into the air pointing upward. "Yeah, I think this'll do." Bunnie just... gawked at him. What kind of nerve did this guy have just waltzing in here like this after all that hard work! She closed her eyes suddenly and began counting backward. Now, now Bunnie, she scolded herself. Don't pummel the newcomer. Just because he acts like a jerk is no reason to raise a fuss. Yet.

And Dash simply buried his head in his hands. If he didn't have a minor concusion at the moment, he'd be kicking that wolf's ass. However, he did, and he really didn't feel like going through the trouble. Instead he just mummbled something under his breath. "Putt putt."
