A groan escaped the lips of a teal and partially mechanical wolf. He was sure he had passed that very same tree three times by now - it was official. He was lost. Of course, this was a fact known to him for awhile, having recently lost his home and being out wandering aimlessly for the last few days. His stomach gurgled, and his eyes set half mast in irritation. Nope. Lance Silverpaw was not a happy wolf.

And a rather irrated spikey guy was nearby. "STOP. FOLLOWING. ME."

Lance rolled his eyes in irritation, and then grinned. "Come on man. Strays like us need to stick together out here in the rough. Whatever happened to camaraderie?"

The tenrec's spines stuck out in anger. "And we wouldn't even BE 'strays' if it weren't for you! There wasn't much 'camaraderie' when you betrayed everyone!"

"Hey man, don't get into that with me again!" Lance frowned. "That was NOT my fault! I was coming to warn everyone! Don't pin that shit on me!"

"Well, gee. I guess you're right. I guess you beg'n on your knees for Robotnik to let you go as it 'wasn't part of the deal' was just a huge coincidence, I really shouldn't be so quick to assume. I trust you completely now. Utterly even. I feel honored to have you follow me around like an idiot." Of course, it was all sarcasm. The tenrec grumbled and continued on his way, hoping that the wolf wouldn't follow.

"Deal? What the $#@% are you talking about?" the wold responded indignantly. "Cut me some slack. If I were such a horrible awful bad guy like you try to make me out would I have even bothered coming back? Hell, I wouldn't have even gotten caught if it weren't for me trying to help Jacky! Let me tell you something, being on the inside of a roboticizer isn't much fun."

Dash rolled his eyes at Lance's 'I'm a HERO, REALLY' bit, before replying... "You shouldn't handle snakes either, they're slimy and are prone to bite."

Lance narrowed his eyes. "And just what is that supposed to mean?"

"Just that I have no sympathy for someone who plays with a snake and ends up being bit, and hard. I'm sure being in a roboticizer isn't any fun, I'm sure the people who got captured because of you would tell you the same. The difference between them and you though is that you brought it on yourself."

Lance growled. "Oh, right, saving my girl was bringing it on myself. I guess I just should have ran off with my tail between my legs like a coward." he snorted. "$%#@ you man, I don't get why you're so hellbent against me. Too hungry to argue anyway."

Suddenly a hockey puck flew out of the bushes towards Dash's head. [dice=6][rand=782873203223568383963667379499730517044804104496724765113795615023]

Lance looked down at Dash in mild surprise, then up to where the puck came flying from. "... Nice shot."

Except that he should have been looking down. From out of the bushes emerged a brown, two tailed fox cub. "Hey thanks!" Then he spotted Dash with a puck shaped dent in his forehead. "Uh-oh..."

"Are you sure?" Tails asked, looking down at the down tenrec worriedly, "Maybe we should take him to Aunt Sally or someone for help?"

Click. A kid. Obviously this meant they must have been close to a refuge, which of course meant two very important things currently on the wolf's mind; food and shelter. Surely they wouldn't turn down a couple of weary war-torn travelers with nowhere to go? Concern spread itself over his face. "Yeah, we probably should get him to a doctor or something. You can never be too careful with a head injury you know." Wandering over to Dash he hoisted the unconscious tenrec up over his shoulder, being careful not to prick himself against his sharp quills. "Okay, so, where's this Sally chick now?"

He heard footsteps. Metal footsteps. Through his years alone in the forest, he'd learned to distinguish them from the various other sounds in the forest. From the sound of it, there was only one pair of feet, so one Swatbot wouldn't be much of a problem. He counted himself lucky not to of ended up near a large group of them, especially since carrying supplies made it difficult to defend himself. Casually, he drew his spear and approached, trying to move in a way that wouldn't make the jugs of water attached to the sides of his pack slosh and attract attention. He caught sight of a fox, a wolf and a tenrec. It was then that he noticed the wolf was partially roboticized. "... So that's why I heard those footsteps..." He commented scratching his head curiously.

"Well Aunt Sally's..." he trailed off as he finally noticed Lance's condition. But any unfomfortable silence was saved when the new canine approached.

"Mm?" Lance turned, having heard Elbot speak. His brow arched when he noticed the spear in his hand.

Elbot arched his brow at Lance. He had NEVER seen anyone that was a cyborg before in his life. "What are you? Half Swatbot or somethin'?" The dog asked. He slung the spear over his shoulder, carefully as to not puncture the water jugs or the pack full of soil.

Tails gripped his hockey stcik nervously, unsure of what to do. "Hey, who're all you guys and what're you doin here?" he said in his best 'tough guy' voice.

Lance rolled his eyes, ignoring the dog. "I'm Lance, the guy shedding his quills all over me is Dash, and I have no idea who Mr. I-Have-A-Pointy-Stick is. Me and Dash are Freedom Fighters and we're lost. Now just in case you might have forgotten, you put a rather nasty mark on my pal's face here." he looked down at the little fox holding the incriminating stick.

Elbot was slightly befuddled by the term "Freedom Fighter", as he'd never heard it before. Nevertheless he introduced himself. "My name is Elbot. I was just out foraging." He replied. "Now if you don't mind, I'll think I'll leave you to your own." He turned to walk off, slightly weighed down by the cargo he was carrying. Then a water jug fell off his pack, sloshing loudly as it thudded to the ground. "Crud."

"Oh..right. We'd better take him back to Knothole." The fox kit turned and headed off into the bushes. "Come on!"

Lance smirked at the dog's problem before following after Tails, still carrying the unconscious tenrec.

Elbot kicked the water jug back into his hand and reattached it to his back. He took back off towards his tree, paying the cyborg and the fox no further thought. It was none of his business, and besides, the roses required his attention. He could worry about other people in the forest some other day.

Tails quickly led the way to the great oak slide. "Down here!" he said, the lept into the slide. There was some echoed giggling as the kit slid down.
