"ANT!" Tails said sharply, moving himself so that he was better positioned betwen Antoine and Ray. "Leave him alone, you're scaring him!"

While still angry with Ray about what had happened, Antoine at least would have explained (in hysterics, as per usual) about what had happened between himself and Tails new 'friend'. However, he was stopped cold by Fora's incredibly rude advancement. Antoine opened his mouth to speak, then shut it quickly, his pointing finger drooping as he sent more energy towards processing what was happening than to his rigid arm. WHO WAS THIS GIRL? Antoine for the life of him couldn't remember seeing her in his entire life. Worse still, the insolent little child had the GALL to impude upon business that she had no clue about, AND called him names! Such audacity! Was this little kid brought up with no sense of social structure? As these throughts swirled and bombarded the poor stately Frenchman's mind, his fur began to bristle with agitation. He opened his mouth once again to speak, but yet again no words came out, and Antoine was left with an insulted look on his face. He didn't know what to do: Go after Ray and ignore them both, explain to Tails and then go after Ray, or teach this upstart hedgehog-y punk some manners. It seemed the impudence of the situation called to him first, as he looked at Fora straight in the eyes. He was unafriad, for she was a little child, unarmed, and not very scary, and he was a big strong swordsman who also knew kung-fu. And then he spoke. "Fille idiote. Vous ne pouvez pas juger ceci. Apprenez un certain respect." His voice was calm, but there was an obvious chill to his voice, dabbed with the slight gravel of an angry growl. Antoine had folded his arms, his back straightened and shoulders squared, looking like a truely imposing soldier. For once.

Now it was true, Antione DID look very imposing. Not to mention that the little girl didn't know him, so she didn't know that he wasn't as tough as he was making himself out to be. She didn't understand any of the words he said.... except one. ".... And WHY should I respect you?! Yer some overgrown bully picking on and chasing a little kid that looks like he's been living under a rock his entire life a... " and she sniffed lightly, " ... and made pee himself. You don't DESERVE any respect if that's what you think!" She hissed at the soldier. Her tail was fluffed and her ears laid back, but honestly she didn't really wanna find out what he was capable of. Yeah.... she REALLY didn't know Antione... If her Dad had taught her anything it was finish what you start and she started this, so she was not going to back down.

The coyote was unamused. Very, very unamused. He seemed to loom over Fora as he spoke to her quietly. "Because I am not being the ignorous girl who ees sticking 'er leetle nose into businesses she is not to knowing anyseeng about, hmm?" He ended it with an imperious 'hmm?', hoping that Fora would at least recognise some ques that not all adults would tolerate such inexcusable behavior, even in the middle of a backwoods forest village. "Eef moi was you I would to be apologizing now before I am to be getteengs a red buttocks." He added, stressing the latter part to make SURE Fora got the point. As for the pee comment, he graciously ignored it. He at least had common sense enough to not let the whole world know that A: He slipped in pee, and B: Tails had a big smelly puddle of it all over his hut's floor. It was embarrassing for both canines.

Her eyes narrowed and her brow lowered angrily, her ears laid back low and her nose crinkled her lips curled and she silently GLOWERED at the coyote that had just threatened to spank her. Not even attempting to apologize or say Anything to him... she just defiantly glared.

Antoine's jaw jutted out, not backing down from his claim. He took a few steps toward Fora threateningly, and as he did, another voice began to call out to the group. Antoine didn't seem to notice at first, but his intimidation and respect-your-elders tactic was eventually interrupted when he realized that the person calling out to them was yelling his name. "Antoine! Yo, Antoine, where are you? Ya got a minute?" to those who recognised it, Rotor's placid voice echoed through the woods, until the sounds of crunching leaves was soon heard, and the chubby walrus finally appeared. At first he smiled, having finally caught up with Antoine. The walrus had been looking for him, and it was the expected cacophpony that had led him to the french coyote. "There you are! I've been looking all over for you." Rotor said, before he began to digest the scene in front of him. It seemed Tails was with all of the new kids here, and they all looked pretty upset- especially the cheetah girl and that poor skitterish squirrel he'd seen before. Antoine, as Rotor dreadfully expected, looked completely wound up. "Antoine..." Rotor said warningly, "What are you doing?" The coyote started at the tone in Rotor's voice. "What am I to be dooings? Eet ees what zey are dooings!" He huffed, obviously upset at Rotor's intervention. "Aww come on Ant. They're just kids." Rotor pleaded, but he instantly realized that his frantic friend was not to be swayed so easily. "Nononononono, zees ees no good! I am to be insulted and ruded, I am not knoweengs them and zey are so being no respect for moi! And ZAT ONE-" Antoine ranted, building up until, in the midst of his antics, he completely forgot that he was not going to mention to anyone else that... "-ZAT ONE... He ees screamings and yellings and moi to be finding messes in Tails' hut and sleeping in PEE-PEES!" He yelled, pointing at Ray. Rotor... was genuinely surprised by that last bit, but unlike the excitable buffoon, seemed to be taking it better. He held his hands up in a defensive gesture, trying to calm Antoine down. "Antoine, just chill! It was probably just an accident." When the coyote looked to be building up for another rant, Rotor headed him off. "Look, why don't you clean yourself up in your hut, maybe do some laundry. I'll take care of the mess the little guy made for you, okay? No harm no foul." Antoine seemed to be weaking at the logical argument. "B-b-b-but but Rotor!" he protested, making A FACE comically familiar to the one Fora had been making at him earlier. "Go on, Antoine." Rotor urged, "I'll catch up with you later, okay?" "..." Finally defused and defeated, the misreble canine skullked off back to his hut. Rotor turned to look at the kids, and a sudden bout of shyness overcame the mechanic. Poor guys just came here, and right off the bat they got overwhelmed by a hyperactive Antoine, despite Tails being there. "Aww gee... I'm really sorry about him you guys. Antoine always gets his fur in a knot when it comes to that stuff." Rotor apologized, a sheepish smile and blush on his face. It was always awkward talking to new people, especially if one just 'saved the day' as it were. @amy@ AMY STARED AT THE WALRUS IN WONDER AND AWE.

Fora blinked surprised at the walrus... she already liked him more than the coyote. She smiled brightly at him, "Thank you." 7.0

Tails, meanwhile, had been watching Fora's tirade like a deer in the headlights. He leaned down towards Ray and whispered, "Wow, she can be scarier than Aunt Sally..."

By now the squirrel's cries had been silenced, but that didn't necessarily mean his panic had been quelled. Ray's trembling grip on Tails persisted, and he peered up at him with tear-soaked eyes.

She gave the walrus another smile before her ear twitched back towards the three. She looked back.. and gave Tails and Ray a sheepish smile. "You okay, Ray?" She wasnt worried.. he'd just been spooked a little.. so why would she be... oh screw it she had a soft spot for little kids.7.0

This little kid, however, wasn't feeling too social. When Fora turned her attention his way, Ray buried his face back into Tail's fur with a weary whimper.

Rotor was a little embarrassed. "Aww, it was no big deal." he replied to Fora, sheepishly playing with his hat. Although, seeing how... wet... Ray looked, the mechanic reached inside of a pocket along his bauldric and withdrew a thick mechanic's cloth. It was obviously very new, or recently cleaned, as it looked much less stained than the other ones he had laying about. "Here Tails," the walrus beckoned, giving the cloth to the fox in question. "I think you might need this." For a little bit Rotor held a small smile of amusement at Ray, but he eventually came back to the reason he had come out here in the first place. Looking behind him, Rotor shook his head. "Well, I better go get Antoine and keep him from causing any more of a mess. I'll see you guys later, okay?" he said, waving mainly at Tails before jogging back to the main part of the village. @amy@ A little while after the walrus had left, Amy spoke up, having a question burning in her mind. "Is he a cat?" It seemed that only having Knuckles for a companion took a toll on her education.

@amy@ Amy looked confused. "No." she replied, looking distressed, "All I've known was me and Knuckles." the little girl then explained, quite befuddled by their responses. It was as if they expected her to know these things. Was she... not as normal as she thought.
"... I don't know that much, do I?"

Meanwhile off to the side, where the forest nipped at the edges of the settlement, a newcomer had arrived on the scene. Knuckles was... disturbed. It had been a long time since he'd seen people of his own kind, and now that he had... part of him wished he hadn't. The older man's disapproving look shook him more then he'd originally thought, and it left a sour taste in his mouth. Wandering through Knothole he'd hoped to clear his head, but the phantoms of failure clung to him still. However... stepping into the clearing he spotted Amy, and his worries lifted for the moment. With a blink he realized she wasn't alone, but was with a group of others around her own age. Staying where he stood, he watched on, idly wondering if she was enjoying her stay here in Knothole...

"I dunno. Maybe I shoudl take Ray to Rosie or Aunt Bunnie. He got hurt last time we played," Tails siad uncertainly as he glanced down at the smaller child still hidden in his namesakes.

@amy@ Fora had apparrently said the right thing, as the little pink hedgehog looked considerably more cheered up. When Tails spoke, she followed his gaze to the little yellow squirrel that had come screaming into their midst.
"Maybe..." Amy said, wanting to play, but feeling for the poor kid that was so scared of that very scary mean guy. "But this game doesn't seem that bad."
