Sonic gave an exasperated sigh. "Fiiine...lemme go get my pack then," Sonic said, not happy with the results, but it was better than being saddled with a whole team for something he could do himself. He turned zipped back toward the medical hut.

Sue let loose with a gigantic yawn, her body signaling to her that she had overstayed her welcome with Sonic and the others. "I think Sonic pointed th' way for me. I'd better get some rest. I just remembered, there's still a matter of my Ecco to work on!" The tapir wished Rob and Vic good luck, waving as the elevator shut its doors.

Watching the two exit at considerably different speeds, Rob turned back to his remaining companion and hefted an exasperated sigh. "Well... l suppose I should probably speak to Espio first. Aurora knows I'm not looking forward to this..."

Vic nodded, and turned to head off himself, while still hefting the sizable hammer. "I'll be in my hut, Rob. When it's time to go."

The archer nodded off in his direction. "Alright, I'll see you then," And with that the archer's pace resumed down the wooden path. It wasn't long before he came upon Espio's lodge, and with a sense of dread he inwardly prepared himself for the undoubtedly ugly confrontation to come. As much as he hated 'rewarding' the boy for bad behavior with the very thing he'd restricted... the situation was critical and he needed every hand he could damage on deck. So it was with his great surprise that upon approaching his young ward's door he found a note attached to the front. Hardly able to believe what was clearly in front of his eyes, Rob twisted and turned the paper, as if hoping that viewing it from different angles would change what was poorly written upon it. As the words themselves penetrated his comprehension the archer's head rocked back, releasing a long and frustrated groan that seemed to come from the tips of his toes. No, not now, he thought. Not when he needed him. Reading over the letter with a second groan, he wadded the paper up in his fist and jammed it into one of the pouches attached to his belt. This... this was going to have to be focused on later. The village's wellbeing was more important than one stubborn missing boy. Shaking his head in agitation, he turned and wandered off to find Manic.
