Sally walked briskly away from the huts and commonly used paths, heading into a bit of brush for a more private conversation. Once she was comfortable with the seclusion, the princess turned around to face the half-robian wolf that followed along. "Alright," she began, folding her arms and letting out a breath. "Why don't we start with you telling me your version of what happened today with Dash?"

Lance leaned himself against a tree, kicking one foot over the other. He scratched momentarily at his head before folding his arms. "Mehhh," he said in a long exhale. "The two of us got into a fight." he shrugged. "That rabbit dame, Bunnie was her name or something? She... umm... kinda tossed me through Dash's window," he glanced away awkwardly. "The little pinprick was trying to make me clean it up, like it was my fault. Psh, whatever. Anyway, I was trying to leave when he had the to nerve threaten me over it and then TACKLED me with his %#$%ing SPINES."

"That's interesting," Sally replied, her features unamused. "Bunnie informed me that your provocations pushed her over the edge in the first place. And even though flying through that window wasn't your choice, helping to clean the mess would've been the civil thing to do." The ground squirrel clenched her jaw. "I'm not condoning either of them lashing out at you, but I still have to consider that you pushed both of them to their actions." The princess let out a short sigh. For a moment, anger peeked out in her expression. "And while you are entitled to defend yourself when someone strikes first, that does NOT give you the right to use so much force that you break their bones. You especially have a responsibility to restrain yourself because your attacks are so much more powerful than the average person's."

" Maybe if he'd asked me instead of demanded..." Lance mumbled, then let out a sigh. "Look, I didn't mean to hurt him that bad, okay? We've known each other a long time and we do get into fights sometimes." He rubbed at the back of his neck and looked away, frowning. "... It's just... I've only been this way for, what, less than a week. I'm... not used to it. I just sorta... forgot at the time..."

The ground squirrel's features softened. "I can understand that. I don't pretend to be able to comprehend what it's like to get used to such drastic changes." Sally glanced aside, looking back at the other Knotholians as they gradually dispersed from the meeting. "However, I have to think of the safety of everyone here. If you can't control your strength, then that's a huge threat to anyone that interacts with you." She turned back to Lance. "I'm going to have to ask you to take some lessons on controlling yourself from Bunnie. She's got unbelievable strength in her robotic limbs, but she's got exquisite control over how much she uses at a time. I want you to try to learn her techniques." Internally, the princess grimaced. I sure hope Bunnie doesn't get upset about this. These two have already had problems...

Just then there was a small breeze as Sonic slid to a stop next to them. "Hey Sal, you gonna be needing me for anything else tonight? I think the ol' hedgehog needs his beauty rest."

Sally looked wearily over at the hedgehog; she looked desperately in need of sleep herself. "No, I think everything's basically taken care of... Go ahead and get some rest. But thank you for making sure first." Turning to Lance again, Sally rubbed her eyes tiredly. "Don't worry about talking to Bunnie tonight, I'll take care of things tomorrow. But something I do want you to do tonight is apologize to Dash. Just try to be low-key so he doesn't get excited, and encourage him not to talk." The princess sighed. "And... that should be about it, unless you have any questions."

Lance glanced at the ground, his eyes half-mast. "Fair enough. On both accounts. I'll go do that then... Sorry for the trouble."

Sonic just watched him go off before looking back at Sally. He then extended an arm in a gentleman like fashion, and in his nest Antoine impression (without the accent) asked: "Walk you to you hut, my lady?" Of course he had his trademark grin on the whole sentance.

"It's okay..." Sally whispered after Lance, but he probably didn't hear her. Oh well. The princess took in a long breath, then let it slowly back out. Let's see... Gosh, there's still so much to do around he--The ground squirrel blinked as Sonic showed her an unexpected bit of chivalry. Taking his arm, she couldn't contain her pleased and somewhat impressed smile. "It's nice to know you can be mature once in a while." As the hedgehog began to lead her off, Sally gently leaned her head against his shoulder; now that Sonic had mentioned sleep, the princess began to realize just how tired she really was.

"Aw come on Sal, I'm always mature. Just a way past cool kind of hedgehog mature." Sonic told her as they walked away towards her hut.
