((IT MAKES JULIENNE FRIES!)) He really loved moments like this. Really and truly, he did. It wasn't necessarily watching the trees fall or the frightened creatures scatter. It actually wasn't even the fact that he was the one giving orders (although that certainly sweetened the deal). No, what really made this a great day for Snively was the fact that his obese uncle was miles and miles away. He had the freedom to do anything he damn well pleased until Robotnik checked in on him. And at this moment, it pleased him to cackle at the top of his lungs while wantonly smashing the Shredder's controls. Very soon, Knothole would appear beneath his blades, and he was going to take immeasurable pleasure in razing every last inch of the repugnant nest.

Of course, that was under the assumption that his fun wouldn't be short lived. The underbrush beneath the enormous machine rustled, as something rather bright red rushed through it, making a beeline to the Shredder itself and apparently with no indication of stopping. As the figure came closer, it became more apparent that it was an echidna- an unfamiliar sight to this region, but perhaps something Snively would find familiar if he thought about the last few days... The Guardian's focus was locked onto the mechanical monster ahead, and as he approached he didn't move to stop, but rather began to speed up, ducking his head and then, finally, ramming directly into one of the machine's long legs. [dice=15] (10) A flash of red and the sensation of a low tremor weren't things that went unnoticed by Snively's meticulous eye. Wrinkling his massive nose, the pilot rotated between his perimeter camera views before finally finding his assailant. "Hmmmmm... It's that guardian," Snively murmured to himself. "What's wrong, anteater? Can't live without something to punch?" He's not one to be trifled with, but he's also short-sighted, if Little Planet was any indication. The overlander reached for the intercom system and flicked the switch; he sure wasn't going to take that red thing on, but he knew someone that could keep him busy for a while. "Metal Sonic! Pursue the Freedom Fighter! Take whatever measures necessary to subdue him!"[rand=674850081214278643282486812383348585769159034823774898459455902]

Metal Sonic had been back somewhere behind the machine at that point. Ignoring the shredder's ravenous assault on the forest, and even the fact he was supposed to be securing the area, he... instead found his interest centered on a bright and rather peculiar looking blossom. Peculiar to him, at least, for he had never seen anything so bright and colorful in the dreary gloom of the city. Such indulgences, however, were not meant to last. As the command filtered through his internal com-link the metallix rose, taking a moment to pinpoint the shredder's exact location and tearing off in its direction. As he locked in on Knuckles, he trajectory altered, and he sped up, throwing up his shield with the intent of ramming into the echidna. [dice=13] 11 The roar of the metallix's engine was the first and only warning the echidna received. Although speed wasn't his forte, he still managed to duck around the giant mech's leg before the metallix struck... And at the last moment, was struck by an idea. Again ramming into the Shredder's leg, he attempted to knock it into the robot hedgehog's path. [dice=13] 7[rand=849481663526270404377854608375375552591887576717364561798261557519]

[dice=15] (10) There was that tremor again. Snively sneered as he spotted the echidna attacking the Shredder once again. That damn robot is slow on the draw, he silently grumbled. I suppose if you want something done right, you'd better do it yourself...Pivoting the gargantuan mech in the echidna's direction, the overlander made a lumbering lawl lumber swipe with one of the Shredder's saw-bearing limbs. [dice=13] (13) Only to bring the echidna's attention back to the giant mech instead of the smaller cobalt one. Ducking again behind the leg, he again attempted to shove it into the path of danger. Thankfully the ruckus between the echidna and mech had placed it out of the robohog's path. Metal had shot by, working on his turn as Snively screamed into his intercom. Turning toward the scene, he assessed the situation. A ram assault had failed, so now it was time for a more direct approach. He raced toward the echidna, aiming a pair of slashes for his backside. [dice=11] (3) [dice=11] (7) Just as Bunnie entered the scene. Taking in the situation, her eyes grew wide at the flash of red she saw beside the mech. "Knuckles, git away from that thang!" she shouted, darting toward the echidna and Snively's mech. As she drew in closer her feet parted with the soil, leaping into the air with a spring of her mechanical legs. Shifting her hips, she made a powerful airborne sidekick toward one of the machine's legs. [dice=12] (7)[rand=155884870254310293242324246766673188327653361200409543538323236467]

[dice=13] (11) [dice=13] (2) However, the echidna apparently sensed the metallix coming, instead turning and attempting to give the robot a swipe of his own. However, the robot was also significantly faster than the echidna and despite the Guardian's best efforts the machine was still able to rake it's claws into his shoulder. This was a double edged sword- he'd just sustained an injury, but the successful hit slowed Metal Sonic down just enough that the echidna could throw an attack of his own- a hook from his uninjured arm. [dice=15] (8) Jerking the Shredder aside just in time, Snively released a bemused hum as he switched on the loudspeaker. "Mmmmms. Rabbot! It's been some since you showed your face. Meanwhile, at the edge of the clearing, Tails pushed aside a few branches of a bush so that he could watch the fight, having followed the others out here shortly after he'd heard what was happening. "Oh man...another Shredder!" he said to himself. Of course, he'd listened eagerly to Sonic's stories about his encounters with the previous two versions of the machine, and was easily able to recognize it, even from Sonic's dramatic descriptions. Only problem was...Sonic wasn't here this time, and this one seemed to be giving Knuckles and Bunnie a run for their money... I gotta do something to help! he thought to himself, comming up with a rudamentary plan. Firing up his tails, he began quickly making his way into the tree tops, to maybe try and get on top of the machine to find some sort of access panel he could get into to wreck stuff.

@amy@ An almost inaudible voice squeaked behind the young fox.
"Tails, wait up!" Amy called, hiding behind the tree Tails was nearest to. Tails had convinced her to follow along, but now that she saw the thing that Knuckles and Bunnie were fighting, she found her confidence starting to quiver. Her breakfast rustled uneasily in her stomach as she glanced up at the flying kit.
How could she ever help fight against that?

(Metal can't beat that roll) Unfortunately for Metal, the close proximity to the echidna and his loss of speed was a devastating combination. He went flying straight into his adversary's speeding arm, and with a jerk his direction abruptly shifted, sending him straight into the bushes. With a loud crash the leaves shuddered as he sailed toward Tails. [dice=3] (2) (Luck roll) [dice=12] (12) "I'll show ya'll what looks better'n pieces!" Bunnie growled. As the claw descended, the cyborg rabbit's arm raised to meet it. Pushing her feet away from terra firma, she snatched the shredder's claw and hoisted herself onto of it, wrenching it in an attempt to twist the mechanism's finger from its socket. @amy@ Amy flinched at the loud crashing noises, looking up at Tails only to see something dreadfully familiar flying right at him. She stiffened, her quills bristled out and her eyes wide, wild with fear.
"Tails!" She shrieked.

[dice=15] Snively's eyes bulged as the super-reinforced and ultra-enhanced machine he so vigorously piloted became alight with alarms. One of the machine's claws had completely snapped off, and his opponent was in a prime position to inflict even more damage. In his fluster, the overlander nearly swiped at Bunnie with the blades of the other arm, which would've effectively severed the disabled one completely. "ROTTEN PEST!!" he shrieked instead, giving the machine's limb a hardy swipe in an attempt to fling the rabbot off. [dice=15][rand=2608392069541030348223532407557889973517145011333800598966598693]

[dice=12] Only for the limb to suddenly stop as a red figure jumped in front of it. Gritting his teeth and digging his feet into the dirt, the Guardian pushed against it with all his might, although hampered greatly by his injured arm. Still, it did the job of preventing the attack from reaching it's intended target, and that's all that mattered. Still, as long as he was in this posistion he may as well take advantage of it. Taking a deep breath, the echidna's entire body lurched... as he attempted to flip the Shredder. [dice=12] Arm and all.[rand=797459018824669931326018537081677568690371752892930762569614966]

"WHOA NELLY!" Bunnie cried, leaping away from the arm as it came toward her, never noticing the benefactor who had stopped it. Hitting the ground with a skid, she turned, wiping her organic arm over her brow as she looked on to spot what the guardian was about to pull...

[dice=15] If he was flustered before, he was panicked now. Snively's eyes grew nearly as big as his nose as the mighty machine's limb was stopped dead by a comparatively puny animal. Despite Knuckles appearing nearly as small as the insects his kind were known to feast on, that didn't stop him from overpowering the Shredder's sparking and oil-leaking arm. Or its legs, for that matter, which had suddenly lost contact with the ground. Snively's breath caught in his throat as the world around him began to go topsy-turvy, then abruptly exploded back out in a pair of outbursts. Shredder now sufficiently grounded, the echidna marched to it's cockpit with a grim determination, following the high pitched shrieking. (Dice sides reduced to compensate for the fact that the Shredder's flipping takes away most of its power.) [dice=8] Although the intercom system had shorted out upon impact, there was no shortage of screaming as Snively was ripped from the crumpled cockpit. His cocky smirk now long gone, a panicked, unblinking stare took over while sweat poured down the sides of his face. "METAL SONIC!! METAL SONIC!!! At first there seemed to be no response from the metallix. Then the foliage began to shudder, and shoving his way back into the clearing was a robot with a series of fresh dents on his armor. The intercom may have been broken, but it wasn't needed to hear the shrieking and wailing produced by the small man. It was really, really annoying.

As incredible as watching Knuckles wrestle the Shredder was, Tails' attention was drawn away as Metal Sonic emerged from the bushes below him, heading back towards the fight. Oh no! He's gonna try and sneak up on Knuckles! Looking around quickly, he spotted a good sized branch that had been mostly broken off by the robot's passage through it. He drifted over and gave it a sharp yank, breaking the hockey stick sized branch the rest of the way off. Then, with a deep breath for courage, he dove straight at the robotic copy of his hero, branch held tightly and poised to swing. "YAAAA!" [dice=11] Metal raised his arm and easily batted the impromptu weapon aside. Ignoring Tails any further, he began to glide toward Snively and Knuckles. However, Tails' attack on the dangerous metallix hadn't gone unnoticed by every member of the party. Snapping out of her reverie of what she had witnessed Knuckles do, Bunnie's fur had frizzed up in terror when she saw the twin-tailed boy attack. Having pulled the small human from the cockpit, the echidna held Snively a good distance above the ground, the overlander's smaller form dangling in the echidna's considerable grip. Knuckles's eyes narrowed as he inspected the being who's shirt collar he was gripping so tightly- he... really thought humans were larger than this. This was a human, wasn't it? ... maybe it was a naked mole rat of some sort...? In the end, however, it didn't matter who or what this was. ... well, it did, actually, but he had already discerned that this was not 'Dr. Robotnik' by the voice alone. Anything past that didn't matter too much. Other than making his point clear, of course... " Never. Touch. The forest. Again."

To his credit, Snively did attempt to reply, but for the most part all that actually happened was a lot of flailing and sputtering. And piddling.
