Espio cringed and gripped his spoon more tightly. " I don't wanna talk about it," he replied without eye contact.

"Ooo," Manic said with a wince, knowing full well what a 'talk' with Rob could be like, "That bad, huh?"

"......................." Lowering his face until his horn was practically in the cereal bowl, Espio steadied his nerves as much as he could manage and quickly, quietly said, " I'mn-notallowedonmissionsanymore..."

"..." Manic poked his little finger in his ear and twisted it a little to clear it, cause he must not have heard that right. "...What?"

Espio's eyes clenched shut; it felt like his skin was crawling from the shedding, and talking about his punishment was starting to excite his very raw emotions. In the interest of leaving before he made a scene (in his own opinion), the chameleon darted from his seat at the table, inadvertantly knocking his still half-full bowl of cereal to the wooden floor. " I SAID I DON'T WANNA TALK ABOUT IT!!" As the young boy suddenly tore past, Rouge jerked backwards to dodge his path, then glanced at the fresh mess on the floor. Her ears dropped. Waste of good milk... Letting out a light sigh, the bat wet a rag and got onto her hands and knees to clean Espio's discarded meal.

Rob flinched, looking over in the chameleon's direction as he tore off. With a withered sigh he pulled his hood back over his head and buried his face into his palm. He had already depleted the last of his energy dealing with Espio earlier - he just wasn't in the mood for this.

Manic looked shocked as well, but it quickly turned to a glare as he turned towards Rob. "And, like, what was that about?"

Rubbing at his face, he took to resting the side of his head in his hand, never bothering to turn and look at Manic. "An argument I'd rather not discuss right now."

"Well I would," Manic said stubbornly. "Like, what was that about him saying he wasn't allowed on missions anymore!?"

With one hand full of the wasted cereal bits and the milk-soaked rag in the other, Rouge made her way to the window to dispose of the former and wring out the latter. " Rob does the best he can," she gently reminded Manic.

The archer didn't answer immediately, closing his eyes and giving himself a quick moment to meditate. Exhaling a long, heavy sigh he turned and looked over at the younger hedgehog. The exhaustion in his face was clear. "Manic, if it weren't for Espio that entire trip to Mercia wouldn't have been necessary. He endangered several people's lives and then he physically assaulted me over it. Until the boy can get his temper under control and learn respect I refuse to trust him on the field."

"No, if the overlander hadn't decided to try and sell us out, we wouldn't have had to go to Mercia!"

" THAT IS ENOUGH ABOUT THE OVERLANDER!" Rob slammed his fist on the table with an uncharacteristic roar. The sudden rush of adrenaline made itself well known as his still pounding headache swelled, making him immediately winced and cradle his forehead. Then, with a frustrated growl, he snatched the rest of his bagel and rose to his feet, feeling his hackles raise up from beneath his hood. "Just because you're bloody SPECIST doesn't give you the right to blame him! There is MORE to this picture beyond your short-sighted nose!" Having said that, Rob roughly shoved his way past Manic and began heading toward the door, still grumbling loudly to himself as he went. " Augh, I am NOT in the mood for anymore of this bloody IGNORANCE right now!"

Rouge winced sharply at Rob's volume, mostly due to the sensitivity of her ears, but also because of the anger that had spilled forth so abruptly. She remained still for quite a while, apparently somewhat stunned by the outburst. After a few moments, the bat seemed to reboot her thought process, and silently gathered the used dishes. Wordlessly Rouge siphoned away a portion of the purified water into a basin to wash them in.

Vic just... stared at the spot Rob had occupied, frozen mid-bite. He'd NEVER seen Rob blow up like that... It was a little scary, actually. Once his mind stopped reeling from the outburst, though, he glanced at Rouge, then at the door. "... ..."

Manic however, just seemed to look even more ticked off. "Oh, so now I'm IGNORANT cause I refuse to defend a guy who almost sold us to Izt!?"

"I... think I'll just... I'll go check on the kid." And with that, Vic was simply GONE out the door, his tail disappearing around the edge of doorway.

The dishes tinked and clattered softly against one another as Rouge continued to carefully clean them. " Rob does the best he can..." she repeated barely above a whisper.

"Pfft, whatever," Manic muttered, suddenly not all that interested in the rest of his breakfast. He stomped out of the hut and determindly headed off in the opposite direction that Rob had.
