Ridgy strolled through Meadowood still holding his hands behind his back. He had little to do in his study until Vic came by to help him with the charts. That means he had a little free time. There was only one other thing Ridgy did as often as mess up his study, and that was coming to visit Lindy in her workshop. He missed the opportunity to see her at breakfast. As a matter of fact, Ridgy thought, he'd never seen her at breakfast, or even had any proof at all that she ate. Ridgy knocked on the door, twisted the handle, and walked right inside. He was sure she wouldn't mind his presence. As he stepped over the threshold he took off his pith helmet and held it demurely over his chest as a gentleman would. "Good morning Miss Mousey."

Lindy didn't even look up from her current project, which looked like one of the small generators that usually powered the village. "...What do you want?"

"I just came by to see if you needed any help. I can be quite handy with these sorts of things, you know." Ridgy took three steps forward and planted his foot directly inside of a bucket that was placed in the corner of a room. Ridgy gave a low while then bent forward to try to yank the bucket loose. "I'd say the current of electricity is not...unf...unlike that....urg...of the old Egonian aqueducts...."

"Except that if you were able to somehow stick your hand in a stream of electricity, you'd fry yourself," she said, still focusing on her work. "And at least then you'd be out of my fur..." she added to herself.

"Of course, of course..." Ridgy said, and with a grunt, pulled the bucket off his foot. "Is it wrong to assume this generator has a regenerative braking capability, meaning that it is still somewhat live as its stored energy when DIAE'HY.....was slowed to a stop?" The unintelligible noise Ridgy made came immediately when he stepped forward and planted his other foot in the same bucket.

Lindy grit her teeth, fighting down the urge to jam that bucket onto his head. "If you'd like to stick your hand in and find out for youself, be my guest."

Ridgy gulped. "No, if it's all the same, I'd just like to take a moment to witness the beauty of your element and the element of your beauty." Ridgy took a couple of steps forward, clunking the bucket behind him and resting his hands on his chin, fawning over her as she worked.

"I'm busy," she said testily, "Go admire someone else's elemental beauty."

"Hey, I think I see the problem." Ridgy said putting a finger forward towards the internal wiring of the generator. (1 = He makes a fix, 2= he shocks himself.) [dice=2] Ridgy brings his other hand to the generator and begins kneading them against the circuitry indiscriminately. "That ought to do it. Just a disconnected wire is all." *SLAM* Lindy abruptly shut the generator's casing, nearly smashing Ridgy's hands. "Ok, you've been useful. Can you GO now?" she asked, even more annoyed.

"I suppose so." Ridgy said putting his hands above his head again. It'd be a lie to say that Ridgy wasn't satisfied that he'd done what he did. Of course, it'd also be a fallacy to say he didn't realize that he wasn't wanted. It'd also be wrong to say that Ridgy was going to give Melinda the idea that he knew he was rejected. Therefore, Ridgy gave a hearty laugh and said "Well, I think this has all reminded me of the direction my research was taken before I left it. I should hasten back to my study. Perhaps Vic will be waiting for me." He strode confidently out with the bucket still stuck to his foot.
